Maui Adventures!

Aloha friends! So my friends from school and I decided to plan a vacation to Maui for the start of summer. We ended up finding super cheap tickets round trip and booked our trip. We had so much fun and were in Maui for a total of seven days. We planned activities to keep us busy everyday and made sure we explored the island on the days we weren't too busy. Since there were nine of us in the group we decided to stay at the condos in Papakea rather than a hotel. This was perfect because we were able to all make breakfast in the mornings and dinners when we didn't feel like going out. Next time I visit Hawaii I  will definitely stay in a hotel rather than these condos because we noticed a lot of the people staying in the condos were older, the vibe at the condos was definitely different than the vibe at the resorts. I guess this just encouraged us to spend most of the time out and about exploring the island and other resorts while we were at it. The first night was pretty mellow, we stayed in and explored the area nearby our condo. The next day we went to the Luau at the Hyatt resort in Lahaina, it was nice and the food was ok. The show was great and the Hawaiian girls were gorgeous, I still don't know how they smile for such a long period of time, I'm sure their cheeks hurt by the end of the night.
Luau outfit; Dress from H&M, sandals from Zara, Roses headpiece from Forever 21

The Next day we decided to go over to Wailea and go to the Beach and walk around the beautiful resorts. Walking around brought back a lot of memories when I went to Maui with my friends in 2006. We got to stay at The Grand Wailea Resort and I couldn't resist but to go back and show my friends how gorgeous the resort is.

One of the things we all wanted to do as a group was wake up at 2 am and go up to Haleakala to watch the sunrise. This was probably one of my favorite and most adventurous days. We woke up really early and got to the top of the mountain while the sun was starting to come out. By the way if you ever plan on watching the sunrise in Haleakala plan to dress very warm because it is freezing once you get up there and we were definitely not dressed appropriately for the freezing temperature. After that we  beautiful hike and got to swim in the waterfall. Hawaii is just gorgeous!!!

Zip lining was also tons of fun, I was expecting it to give me more butterflies but it was worth it and our instructors were hilarious! they definitely made the experience memorable. That evening we had dinner at Duke's beach house for my besties birthday. I ordered the seafood Risotto and it was delicious! lets just say that we were pleased with the food and service.

Shoutout to Skyline Eco Adventures for an awesome and safe Zip lining adventure!

We came home and surprised Wendy with a birthday cake!
The last activity we did was Snorkeling this was a six hour snorkel. We got to snorkel at two different locations one was Molokini and I don't remember the other location. Snorkeling was awesome! We saw dolphins and turtles. We were lucky enough to have swam with the dolphins and the turtles. The turtles were so cute and the dolphins were such showoffs it was adorable. Overall snorkeling was worth it, even though some of the boys did end up getting sea sick on the boat. That evening we surprised one of my other besties on his birthday with a nice dinner. Of course the girls were in charge of making all the food while the boys were out distracting him. It was pretty sweet, we set up the dinner at the clubhouse and had him walk in and we all jumped out and surprised him! he had no idea.

We had probably swallowed a cup of sea water by this point, our lips were numb.

The last day we decided to chill and of course go to downtown Lahaina to have some of  Ulilani's Shave Ice. I still can't get over how delicious shave ice is, I'm not an ice cream lover but If we had hawaiian Shave Ice around I'd crave it all the time. The ice is so fluffy and the flavors taste exactly like what they are. I can't explain in words but its the best thing ever! If you're ever in Hawaii make sure to have some! That evening we went to a bar and danced the night away.

                                                        Forever 21 dress and heels

view from the room- so gorgeous it looks like a painting

My favorite flavor was the Haleakala sunrise(all white one) ;  coconut leche, topped with sweetened condensed cream and cream mix.. ohh and thats not all I made sure to get a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom for more flavor!
We thought it was our last day but unfortunately one of our connecting flights from Maui to Honolulu was delayed and because of this we missed our flight back home. By the way don't ever fly Allegient they were very rude and have a bad reputation for treating their customers unfairly. Well, we were all frustrated and annoyed we had missed our flights but this didn't stop us from having fun! We met a friendly driver that ended driving us to Waikiki from our hotel nearby the airport. We spent the whole day at the beach exploring Waikiki beach and shopping! It was crazy how different this Island was from Maui, It was like a tropical city with shops. We had tons of fun and the next morning we made sure we arrived at the airport on time to board on our returning flight. Ohhh how I miss Maui and its Shave Ice.! until next time..

Peaches and Cream

It sure has been a long time, and I've missed blogging so much! This has probably been one of the busiest summers yet. Sadly, summer is almost over and I will be back in school soon and won't have  too much time to post but for now I'll try to post some summer trip recaps and outfits of the day. Anyway, LF is having their summer sale again and the prices have finally been lowered enough to the point where I can actually shop comfortably. The sale is over this weekend so be sure to check it out!  I've been going to these sales for the past three or so years and I would buy tons of stuff and noticed a lot of these items wouldn't get worn. This year I'm trying to to shop for items I will wear multiple times and not just a one time wear. I was on the hunt for the perfect boyfriend jeans and after trying these on I fell in love with the fit. I love that boyfriend jeans can be so versatile and be styled in many different ways. For this look, I decided to pair them with this casual yet sexy top and my favorite pumps. I love simple outfits like this one, each item is a must have in a girls closet! Boyfriend jeans, simple nude pointy pumps, flowy tops, and hoop earrings will never get old.
xo!
